Beautiful rooms overlooking the garden and river. Great breakfast with fruit, tasty Lao dishes, freshly cooked eggs and all the Western standards. Excellent shuttle service to and from the airport and into the centre of town. The pool looked sparkling clean, although we didn't actually use it. But best of all were the staff. My husband had an accident and had to spend 10 days in the local hospital with broken ribs. The staff couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. They brought extra bedding to the hospital to make us more comfortable, brought breakfast every morning, helped with the police reports, and more. All of the staff, but especially Sam, See and Santi, made the nightmare bearable. They treated us like family and we will always be grateful. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in anywhere. It ticks all the boxes: charming rooms, good food, attractive dining/seating area, friendly helpful staff, family atmosphere, well-priced. We liked the location. It is outside the centre of town in a quiet local neighbourhood. The hotel runs a convenient shuttle bus into the center, or you can take a ferryboat across the river. We also liked the interesting 20 min walk into town, noticing something different each time.

We liked everything about this hotel. It was such a retreat on a lovely property. The room was so well designed. We had a garden and river view and were in an end unit that was very quiet. The pool was such a nice bonus in the afternoon heat and such a pretty tropical area. The whole resort is quite lush with plants ---loved it all. The breakfast was excellent and had so many choices. The staff was wonderful and attentive as well. A special mention goes to NuNa who was the sweetest and most helpful young lady --hardworking too! She first showed us to our room and throughout our 4 days there was continuously so friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk in to the town but they also offer shuttles quite a few times a day if you don't want to walk. You can also take a tuk tuk or a taxi etc. We walked across the bridge most of the time and took the evening shuttle back which meets you at the post office area right near the bustling outdoor market. They also have bikes to use which we did one morning and had a great time. We would highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel. Its a gem of a place!

My Dream is our favourite hotel in all of Indochina as it's quiet laid back ambience totally suits our preferred holiday experiences and expectations. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always cheerful with nice big happy smiles. A special mention must go to the general manager Khamsaen and of course to owner Mr. Somnuek Bounsa, they are both very professional when dealing with guests whilst always maintaining their obvious pleasure in providing a second to non service. The location of the hotel in the village on the other side of the Namkan river makes for a beautiful tranquil setting yet is easily accessible by either the free shuttle bus, bicycle or as we do, by walking, the short distance to heart of Luang Prabang town. The in house restaurant is a nice cosy setting to enjoy their varied menu of well cooked and reasonably priced fare if you don't feel the urge to wander into the town.

The welcome was instant and continued throughout our stay. The staff were exceptional and the facilities amazing. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was a high standard. The choice of buffet breakfast was extensive and very high quality with a chef on hand to cook eggs to order. The manager was visibly present and engaged with customers daily. You got the sense that nothing would be too much trouble. The gardens to the river were immaculate. It's not in the centre of town but you can use the hotel bikes for free (make sure you test drive assome are better than others). It's 6-8 minutes into town. It's pleasurable. Even though you share the road with motorbikes and need to cross the bike / motorbike bridge single file, the faster motorbikes are very respectful of cyclists and hang back into they can overtake.

We were 2 couples staying 4 nights in the Family suite bungalow - 1 bedroom; 2 more beds screened off in living area; 2 bathrooms; sheltered balcony with seating looking out over lovely gardens leading to the Nam Khan riverbank. Well equipped bungalow with air-con & fans. Superb buffet style breakfast included, awesome range of food! Decent coffee. Bar & restaurant available. Very attentive, friendly & helpful staff, some speaking decent english. Can arrange trips/tours + airport transfers. Free bikes & mopeds. Property located a 20minute walk, via a bridge over Nam Khan river, from the 'tourist centre' of Luang Prabang.. This suited us! Plus plenty of local food options & shops/stalls, plus interesting to walk the local area. 30minutes to walk to Mekong river, or property offers a shuttle bus quite close to river.
